LOVES Wooden Canoes
Just thought I'd share a few pics of my Peterborough Minetta....I'm in the process of refinishing....I got lots of great advice from here on the forum....and from reading The Wood And Canvas Canoe....as well as from WCHA members Andre Cloutier and Mike Elliot (especially from his excellent blog)....still work to be done but here's a few pics of progress so far:
The canoe has a fresh new first coat of paint….next up is a couple of coats of dark green.
As seen from underneath, after sanding, the wood needs a coat of varnish (maybe even two coats).
There is still much more work to be done….and while the canoe is coming along, it is still very much a work in progress….like myself. But I think it will look great in its dark green coat.
I’ll post more pictures as I continue refinishing the canoe. Paddles up until later then.
