I wonder...... some rubber gasket and a couple of transoms? Could one have two small power or row boats???

Actually, I think this is a pretty interesting idea. Two 13 ft half canoes have got to be easier to store, load move, than a 26 footer. But there must be some serious stresses on that joint in anything but very flat water.
