WCHA member canoe transportation...?

I seem to remember that there is location on this WCHA site that attempts to link up canoes that have an itch to travel with WCHA members that are willing to transport it. A travel board so to speak. Am I remembering correctly? and can someone direct me/us to that site? I've just had a note from a WCHA member who's interested in a 50 Pounder I'm selling but needs it transported from the Rochester NY area to Louisiana. Thanks for the help...

Yes, the Travel Registry is here on the forums. Go the the Forums home page and Travel Registry is the last section under in the "General Topics" section.

And remember that transport doesn't have to be iin one big jump. For example, if someone can bring it to the Assembly, and someone else can get it from there to Cincinnati, and someone else get get it from there to... wherever... Things can happen... It might take a bit longer, but it does work.

Hi Howie,

Give Steve at KAS a call. They are local (to you, Macedon) and will pick up at your house. I have had several boats transported by them, always with good results. They are familiar with handling canoes.
