Identification of 20th century model canoe

Hi all! I am currently researching this wooden canoe model in the collection of the American Folk Art Museum and wondered if anyone has any ideas on origin or identification. It is currently listed as American 20th century polychrome carved wood but very little other info. Any insights would be much appreciated.

Deux autres choses : l'élastoline n'est pas réelle, c'était du plastique à base d'huile de lin...

one more only for the canoe , the native must be plugged on an elasolin canoe , not wooden canoe
