Various Canadian wide board etc ribs

Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
I'm working on several Canadian canoes. I got a molding guarge from the hardware store. Accuracy is not precise but here's an example of diversity. Each is a different canoe. Width typically 1/2" or 3/4". Height 3/8" to 3/4". Where the rubber meets the road in a Canadian canoe is of course strength. The left rib is a UFO. The far right a W.T. Bush. Both are 6" on center. Simple calculation (square the depth) shows the UFO to be ten times stronger than the Bush canoe.
