I have just purchased an all wood 16" Canoe I have been told that it has an oval brass plate with The Canadian Canoe Company stamped upon it. It is in need of TLC and suprisingly looks to be in good order but am sure I`ll find trouble once a strip of the varnish which has shrunk and cracked it looks like its been in a fire which is common on old furniture often seen over here in the UK of 90 to 100yrs old +
I don`t have any pictures to post as yet but have seen the very same one on www.heirloomcanoes.com On the Canadian canoe Company page 2 it shows the Decal of the mid 1920`s and below that a sketch of an all wood Canoe. This is the exact Canoe with a turned wood mast socket on the fore deck and would like to know what model, model name and year of build Circa would be ok untill I can post more information.
