Students Progress in Buffalo

Hi Gang-
We have been making good progress on the 1920 18' OT HW CS. This has been a 7th and 8th Grade Technology Project that was started in September 2006. The boat was in rough shape. We as a class have replace 50% of the planking, built new inwhales, decks 20", replaced the tops of the stems, removed 3 layers of glass, and all the fun that comes with that, we did manage to get all but 3/8" of the twist out of the badly twisted hull, so all in all it has been an excellent process so far, for my 13 & 14 year old students to learn and be part of. We have 3 coats of varnish on the interior, both seats are fit, we made new thwarts and all parts are in the varnishing line up. We plan of canvassing in early March, and hope to do a relaunching and cookout in Buffalo in late June, with the students and their families. If anyone is interested in joining us for some paddleing let me know.

Dave-
Thanks for the insight, does your boat have a full keel? I bet you can load this boat down with a lot of gear.
