The Old Town canoe with serial number 125576 is a 20 foot long, AA (or top) grade, guide model with open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks (30 inches long on the bow), mahogany thwarts, mahogany seats, half ribs, a keel, shelves installed on each side forward of the bow thwart / seat, and two special drawers installed under the bow deck, each about seven inches by five inches by five inches. It was built between August, 1938 and March, 1939. The original exterior paint color was dark green with the letters "C. O. K." on the right and left bow. It was shipped on March 25th, 1939 to Webster, Wisconsin. A scan of this build record can be found by following the link at the thumbnail image attached below.
This scan and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See

With extra options like these from the factory then I can only imagine what else has been added over the years. Please attach some pictures, especially if the lettering on the bow is still showing. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions. Good luck with the restoration,
Benson
