Ready for Restoration

So now I would like to know what a "type A" is, what type of would trim should be used, the deck pattern and color/color schemes.

You can find most of that information by using the search utility here. The "type A" is plain and the "type B" is fancy as described at http://forums.wcha.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=3560&d=1193578175 from their 1929 catalog and the page at http://forums.wcha.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=20427&d=1319388096 describes the Kennebec model. The image at http://forums.wcha.org/attachment.php?attachmentid=6434&d=1226254804 shows a typical Kennebec deck pattern. Good luck,

Benson

Hi Benson,
The boat I have is a standard is a standard trim level boat. Now, considering that the decks and gunnels need to be replaced.....will I hurt the value if I replace these parts with mahagony? I also have 13 out of the 42 ribs that are cracked and a few hull planks that need replacing.

Thanks,
Dave
