It is finished.
Stripped. Sanded. Holes, nicks and such filled with West System (slow) and wood flour. Saturation coat. Glassed with 6 oz. glass. Three fill coats. Sanded. 5 Coats Z Spar Flagship and scuffed in between with scotch bright. New decals from Island Falls Canoe. Opted to omit the keel for now as well as the stem bands. Ran 3" glass tape town keel line from tip to tip for added durability. New handles made from tubular climbing webbing with rope inside. It's no canvas canoe but I think it turned out pretty well. Going to let the varnish cure over a week before it gets wet. Thanks to all for your tips and ideas, especially Mr. Bradshaw.
