A reminder that our Chapter will be having a booth at the upcoming Rideau Paddlefest, taking place in Smith's Falls, Ontario on Saturday, June 17th. The festival is an annual celebration of the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a intrinsic part of Eastern Ontario. Come by and say hello. Bring your watercraft to get a chance to paddle this historic waterway!

The event itinerary has been posted online and includes the following:

Free Voyageur Canoe Tours at 11 am 12 pm 3 pm 4 pm

Voyageur Canoe Races: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

• Full team of 10 racers

Voyageur Canoe Tug-of-War 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Moon Shadow Paddling: 8:30pm to 9:30pm

• Bring you own lighted kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, OR
• join us in our Voyageur Canoes

At the Event (all activities are free):
• Short Play & musical about the Rideau Canal
• Musical performances, Dancers and Fiddlers
• Climate Change Displays and activities
• Children's activities including face painting and the Paddling Puppeteers.
• Photo Contest
• Engaging Displays and activities from Cultural, Heritage and Environmental Organizations:
