I was fortunate enough to find a 17' 1929 HW grade AA Old Town Canoe behind a dumpster among a pile of household junk. Every things there. Serial number clearly visible and the build ticket was found. Has had the canvas removed. Does any one have a good source for literature or information on the restoration process. I want to bring it back to original. Thanks in advance

are considered the definitive literature on building & restoring WC canoes. The second one is out of print, but may be available on eBay, at Amazon.com, your library, or other internet sources.

I believe there are other folks in Florida who have restored these canoes; go to http://www.wcha.org/local-area-chapters/ to see info on your local WCHA Chapter. You might be lucky enough to have another member within driving distance! The worst case is that this forum has a lot of people who are very knowledgeable about WC canoes, and will be eager to answer questions! No questions are dumb.

Please post pictures, before, during, & after... and the build info is always fun to look at, so you can post it here, too.
