Hi all: Finely able to get registered. I have owned 4 wood canoes over the years. Lived in the Catskills most of my life, now in N. Florida. There are not a lot of wood canoe owners in this area.
My last boat was restored by a builder in Shohola Pa. by the name of Jerry ?. Would like to locate him. Jack B.

Hi Jack,
I'm in OP. Your right, there are not many wooden canoes or boats around here. Most of the natives like the plastic crap (and yeah, I have had my share), but then again most of them have never been in one before. That's what hooks you. Whether it is a canoe, row boat or yacht, a wood boat feels better, sounds better and oh yeah, looks better. Anyway, I am just starting a restoration on a 16 footer. Should be fun. Maybe I'll see you on the water some day.
