Mid gunwale splices

God knows one of the most challenging, and rewarding, parts of a restoration are clean splices. And I love it when it works. Love the process, especially when you stand back and look at it. To me, celebrate the repairs and let it become part of the boats journey!!!!!

I have made the same thing on my aluminium canoë with junk mahogany
hand railing , to short to do , but sawing by the midle , three glued pegs to show that , bended at steam, it'was easy to do , I dont mean that ...
