How much varnish?

Can someone please remind me how much varnish is needed to re-coat the interior of a 15' canoe, starting from bare (stripped) wood? I want to buy the most economically-sized can, without having much left over afterwards. I don't know if I'm getting old and forgetful, or just going too long between restos....

Depends

It depends on how much you want and how fussy you are. You can seal it first with a sealer, or thinned varnish. You can do it with a quart I should think.

Dido, one quart should do it unless your planning on 12 coates
