history of my Chestnut Canoe please

I'm not aware of any available Chestnut records so there isn't much anyone here can offer. Occasionally someone has a similar Chestnut with good original documentation and will post it here. Good luck,

Benson

You may get a general idea of the age of your canoe from the KnowledgeBase here on this website:

http://forums.wcha.org/knowledgebase/Manufacturers:Chestnut+Canoe+Company

There is a book on the history of the Chestnut Company-- it's currently out of stock in the WCHA Store but you should be able to find it through other booksellers or a public library.

It can help to post pictures-- as Benson said, there are others here who may recognize what you have.

There's also a Facebook group dedicated to the Chestnut, if you're into Facebook.
