square stern build request

Welcome, the Old Town with serial number 125487 is a 17 foot long HW model with two pointed ends so that isn't a good match. None of the similar looking numbers (125481, 125437, and 125431) show an 18 foot long square stern either. Can you provide pictures of the serial numbers from each end? The suggestions at the link below may help if any of the digits are hard to read. Good luck,

The Old Town canoe with serial number 54097 is an 18 foot long, AA (or top) grade, Otca model with red Western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, mahogany thwarts, mahogany seats, a keel, and floor rack. It was built between May and June, 1919. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on June, 20th, 1919 to Minneapolis, Minnesota. It may have moved to Saint Paul, Minnesota by September, 1980 when there was a previous request for a copy of this information as indicated on the back side of this record.
The Old Town canoe with serial number 54697 is an 18 foot long, AA (or top) grade, Otca model with red Western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, twenty inch mahogany decks, mahogany thwarts, mahogany seats, a keel, floor rack, a bang plate along the full lenght of the keel, and a painter ring. It was built between June and July, 1919. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on July, 16th, 1919 to Hackensack, Minnesota.
The Old Town build record for serial number 178028 shows a 16 foot long fiberglass canoe so that isn't a good match. My guess is that you may have the one with number 173028. This is an 18 foot long, Guide model with a keel. It was built between April and September, 1963. The original exterior paint color was pale blue. It shipped on April 29th, 1964 to West Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The Old Town canoe with serial number 110123 is a 16 foot long, CS (Common Sense or middle) grade, HW (heavy water) model with red western cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, birch decks, birch thwarts, birch seats, a keel, and sponsons. It was built between July and November, 1931. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on March 15th, 1932 to Saint Paul, Minnesota.
