Chestnut question.

If I recall correctly, Solway was the only one to relate that numbering scheme - and it sure doesn't fit my boats.
I have a 1971 Prospector, s/n# 45285.
I have a 1970 Bob's Special s/n# 12286.
I have a 1960's Pal s/n# 23241....

The sequencing is all over the map and the reversing of first 2 digits to get year of construction doesn't fit either.

For what its worth.

Do you have any additional documentation for these dates like the one for serial number 45285 or are they just estimates? Thanks,

Benson

Benson,
Sorry nothing worthy of conclusive research.
While I don't have an order form or receipt for the Bob's, I do have the original owners notes regarding date of purchase, repairs, etc.
They are packed in preparation for moving , so currently unavailable but in my possession.

The dating of my Pal is speculation based upon what information I have of its earlier ownership.

Can someone help me with tbis. I was just given this canoe.

Serial number 82728
It is 17 foot.

I think it is a prospector but with a transom (actually misding). Any info you have would be appreciated
