Canoe seat repair?

Hello,

I am working on re-doing my Old town seats with webbing. I am about to sand them and am not sure on how to finish them. what is the recommended varnish to use once I sand the seats? Is anything else needed aside from sanding and varnish?

I use a good quality marine spar varnish on seats. It's my habit to put at least three coats on wood that I am re-finishing.
Make sure to allow enough time between coats and also to sand between coats.
