Can anyone I.D. this canoe?

Curious about Wooden Canoes
I just finished restoring this 15 footer, "Maine Guide style" canoe and was wondering if anyone has any idea who may have built her. The gentleman I purchased it from said he was told it was circa 1940's, and may have come from the St. Louis, Mo. region. No markings or serial nos. could be found. Thanks!

Wow...hard to tell with so much new wood and seats. Do you have any photos with original wood on it?
We're there steel straps under the original decks?
If so,....
My best guess would be a 50's "low shear" Thompson Ranger...

Dave,

The seats and decks were replaced during a previous rebuild I'm guessing, and there are no steel straps present. I'll take a look at some Thompson Rangers and see if I can make a connection. Thanks!
