The guy I purchased it off of mentioned it was built in Westport On and a manufacturer of canoes in Westport still exists?

Thanks Dave that's what I was thinking, does the moosehide seats give it away or are there others that use this type of seating material? Is Westport the manufacturer or the city it was made do you think?

The seats, decks, seat hangers, ribs, shear line,....
There could possibly be a wide cant rib under the deck area.
I'm not that well versed on manufacturers of Huron type canoes. I believe there were a handful...someone could correct me. I think I heard that many of the builders employed First Nations people.

Others more versed in canoe ID May pipe in.....
