Trying to identify a canoe for a friend.
ID Plate says: Biddle Creek Canoe Company, Billings Montana
He says the previous owner told him they were in business in the '30s and 40's.
I haven't seen the canoe, but as described, it sounds like a cedar strip. Leather seats (rather than cane), 19 ft, with square headed brass hardware. He said he'll send photos of the canoe and ID plate. I'll post them as soon as I get them.
I've searched and cannot find any reference. There's a town Named "Biddle" in southeast Montana, and a "Biddle Creek" about 25 miles south of there, in Wyoming. Other than that, nothing.
