Has anybody used Epifanes Accelerator to speed drying times? Seems that even in dry humidity it takes 2-3 days to become tack free. That's way off from what the can directions say.

I've never tried that one, but what I do use is Japan Dryer.

Hi Dave,
I have use it in cold weather, but I've never had the Epifanes take that long to dry, unless it was over uncured epoxy.
Are you vanishing bare wood and or previously vanished wood. And is it the Woodfinish Gloss or the old fashion Gloss?
Woodfinish applied too thick can take for ever to harden.
I always use either the brush thinner or spray thinner when I use either varnish and it will usually be tack free after 10 to 12 hours.

Using both kinds of varnish on bare wood and previously varnished surfaces.
In any instance that I've ever used it, thinned or not, it is not dry in 24 hours.
Gonna try the accelerator today.

My experience has been that Epifanes is always ready to sand and re-apply in less than 24 hours. I have never needed an accelerator for it.
