1940s Peterbourough

It's the Otonabee model. The outside stems are rounded. I do very few Peterborough's here in NJ.
Looks correct to me nicely rounded? The last person put so much epoxy over the keel and stems I wasn't sure what I'd find after using the heat gun for hours. I'm thinking they were varnished originally from what I've seen. Though there is traces of red paint on them. Any ideas would help? Thanks, Dave
