Our nonprofit children's organization received a donation of a wooden canoe in excellent condition. There is a metal plate with the serial number ZZ0003465303 Made in Canada. We would like to know more about the canoe. Thank you for providing any information.

you may be able to decode the year of manufacture, but the format of the HIN as given doesn't fit neatly into anything that makes sense to me. It MAY have been made in 2003, but I'm not sure I'm reading it right.
