Just a note to let any Illinois/Wisconsin WCHA'ers that our chapter head Jim Kriecha, along with a lot of help from Margaret Fisher, has started to formalize our chapter with officers, by-laws, etc. This is the first step that we are taking to become a more active chapter, have fun, and spread the word of the WCHA and the love of wooden canoes. Our first meeting to review these proposals is being held at Jim Kriecha's cabin on Oct. 21-22 on the Wisconsin River approximately an hour north of Madison, Wisconsin (the proud birthplace of the WCHA!).
