First, thank you for all the info that has been posted on this forum, glad to have found it.

Picking this boat in the morning because I figure I can’t miss for the price. It’s a White Scout. I’m assuming royalex based on the communication with the daughter selling it for her dad. With what I’ve learned off this site I’m assuming it was built May 7, 1988? Stamp doesn’t look like a fiberglass stamp, again from what I’ve seen here, and it also sounds like from what I’ve read all day old town didn’t make any poly boats under the white name. Anyone have any other information about this model or confirm or deny my thoughts. I’ll post pics once I pick it up. Thanks everyone.

Welcome and congratulations, the information at https://www.usps.org/national/safety/HIN/HIN.pdf indicates that this canoe was made by Old Town for White in May, 1987 for the 1988 model year with serial number 300566. The page from the 1989 White catalog below indicates that the Scout model was made from Royalex. Feel free to reply here if you have other questions,

Thanks Benson. That’s what I was looking for!! Off to work but hope to get the boat out for my maiden voyage with the family later this week. For $300 and just normal wear and only a little of the outer layer worn down on the bow it was hard to pass up. Bonus when he said he had paddles he needed to throw in as well.
