LOVES Wooden Canoes
Years ago on my youngest son's first trip to the BWCA, he complained about his back aching from sitting in the canoe too long.
He asked me to pull over to an old beaver house. He sorted through the sticks, until he found one the width of the gunnels, where he was sitting. He placed the stick, between his long legs and the gunnels, to support his legs and back. He and I was amazed at the relief he received from this. Since I have done this same thing many times with the same relief.
I thought I'd share it with my fellow paddlers. Let me know how it works for you !
I made a stick, that I bungee cord to my gunnels of my solo canoes, when not in use.
Here's a couple of pics.
