Here's a pic of my Oldest son's first build.

He has been after me to help him build a stripper, for some time.. I've always put him off, because his life is so busy and stressful. I remember that building these strippers has been a Stress relief for me.
I had strips cut, and beaded and coved from last Summer, and so we pulled the trigger.

My version of the Iowa Traveler, is arrived at by shortening the forms of an Arkansas Traveler, designed to be 15' long. I set them for a 14' build.

Ben finally made it home to work on his canoe. Strips are fitted, staples pulled. I'll fill staple holes, and a few broken coves.
We'll be seal coating Friday night. Then laying glass down Saturday.

Working on a backrest, that will pivot in blocks attached to the inwhales.

It's actually a backrest, that will pivot, and work as a kneeling thwart. It might be too high to use as a seat, but it is sturdy enough to.

Was able to get the Traveler on the water today, 3 miles of river.
I fell in love with this little canoe ! Old Henry Rushton knew what he was doing when he designed the Arkansas Traveler !
Wife took a few pics, so I could check the trim. Turned out great !
