Template for ends of Old Town 17 foot HW

I have decided to splice the end of the inwales and the stem where they have rotted out on MY Old Town HW. I want to keep the original lines and I am wondering how to figure out what shape they were before they rotted out. The planking at the top was split off. I made a template with my best guess following the lines that were there then extending them to where they meet but I am not satisfied that is what the ends looked like.

Is there a way to get a template for the curvature of the original stem and or the inwales that will give me the lines up to where they meet?

Okay No Ideas. How about this. Does anyone know how long the inwales extend past the decks? If I knew that I could make a better guess about what the line of the stem would have looked like.

Unless it is a very early (pre-1905) Old Town, the inwales end flush with the tips of the decks.
