SN 005 17 or OC5 17

I don't know much about canoes, but our family saved this old canoe from a burn pile many years ago. The family that owned it said it was a Penn Yan Canoe. The serial number is either "005 17," OC5 17," or 0C5 17." Thanks for any help you have to offer!
