OP OP R Ron Bull Curious about Wooden Canoes Aug 26, 2013 #3 what gauge (small 15 or large 12) do you recommended? If I go with two to each ribtip, then I would assume the smaller gauge. Also, I assume not glueing the tips to the inwales.

Dan Miller cranky canoeist Staff member Aug 26, 2013 #4 14 or 15 gauge is usual, 3/4" long. No glue - you might want to pull a rib someday.
