O Otter Lake New Member Nov 13, 2008 #1 I've got an Old Town beavertail that's covered with fiberglass. Don't know the resin type for certain, but suspect it's epoxy. Any thoughts on the best way to remove the glass cloth without damaging the paddle? Thanks.

Canoez Paddle Bait Nov 13, 2008 #2 In a location with good ventilation - preferably outside - use a heat gun to warm up the epoxy. It should soften and come off with a putty knife. Don't overheat it and "tan" the wood, however.
