Red or white cedar planking

I'm restoring a 1965 Otca Old Town wood/canvas canoe. I need to replace a few planks. I am unsure if the planking is red or white cedar. Does anyone know what would have been the original cedar planking type for this canoe? Thanks.

Almost certainly western red cedar. It should say on your build record, though by the 60's they often stopped filling that in. They only used white cedar rarely after 1920 or so...
