Plastic Bag Source

I had a guy give me some of the last bag material used to steam gunwales way before it became popular on these forums. I was skeptical That it would get hot enough . I never tried it, and subsequently sent it to a fellow restorer in Holland, Michigan. I understand that he is quite successful with it, as well as others.
Now I’m looking to purchase some to see if I can match his success.
What company sells it?

Dave, I bought mine on eBay. It was $60 for 750 feet of 4 mil 3 inch tubing. It was far more than I needed so I cut off several 100 foot pieces and donated them for auction at the Assembly. I still have some left. How much do you need?

Thanks for the offer! How much would I need to bend inner and outer gunwales on a 16” Old Town? 10’ per bend?

Also found this….. much more than I’ll ever need.

Yes, 10 feet per bend sounds good, with the steam going in the end of the gunwale (where it is high) and the condensate draining from the middle of the canoe (low point). I was able to reuse the tubing sometimes but not always as it could get damaged.
I will unroll the rest of my roll tomorrow and see how much I have left - probably a couple of hundred feet.
