Penobscot Marine Museum Collections

I don't think this has been posted on the forum before. The Penobscot Marine Museum has a great database and photo collection on-line. I just searched on "canoe" and came up with 170 photos involving canoes.

Thanks for the pitch Fitz. We placed the database online just a couple weeks ago, and we expect to add another 30,000 or so images in the next few weeks. As time and funding allow, we'll eventually place all of our collections online, not only our photo archives, but documents and artifacts as well. BTW: that's Penobscot MARINE Museum.

Boy, just what I need -- another way to waste time at the computer!

lots of old pictures of Maine towns, railroads, boats, etc. -- and it will only get worse -- 30,000 more pictures in just a few weeks!
