Models are usually simply scaled down versions of full sized canoes so the patterns are adjusted accordingly. The plans listed at http://wcha.org/catalogs/plans.html can give you some ideas of the options available. Just about any book or on-line source which happens to show lines plans for canoes could be used for models. Many can even be used for full-sized builds with a bit of checking to make sure things in the drawing aren't distorted. Back in the low technology days (early 1970s) I took a 9" wide lines drawing of a fur trade canoe from the book "The Bark Canoes and Skin Boats of North America" (which contains hundreds of plan drawings) and had a friend who worked in a print shop blow it up to the size I needed. Then I used those full-sized cross sections to make the forms to build this stripper. With modern technology - scanners, printers, digital photography, computer drawing, etc. it would be much easier to do.
