Curious about Wooden Canoes
Ive been trying to find good pictures but cant seem to come accross any..my Otca is supposed to have outside stems but currently doesnt...anyone have pics of some up close? Id like to see where/how they meet the deck gunwales as well as how far they curve down under the canoe. Do they meet the keel? Do they end before?

any help is great appreicated!

Outside stems DO meet the keel on all canoe-types I've seen... make it seem like one-piece from the bow through the keel to the stern. But exactly how the OSS join at the tips may differ from one canoe-type to another, so someone else will have to answer that.

Here are some photos, I'm sure someone has better ones. They do run right into the keel.
