Outboard Transom Plate Needed

I’m looking for a transom plate for a small outboard motor to go on a freshly restored Arrowhead Meraco Racer. The owner will be putting a vintage outboard on the boat and we’d like to not mark up the transom by clamping a motor on. Hoping someone salvaged one somewhere along the line.

I generally use a couple sheets of Luan hung inside and outside to protect the transom from the screw clamps. You can make this as fancy as you want but I use a couple pieces of duct tape to connect these so that they can hang over the top of the transom. This does the trick and leaves no marks.

Good idea Mike.
We can use that as a temporary until we find a vintage piece.
