otca rails

hi,if the outer rails are going to be off for awhile should the be clamped to a form? will they straighten out? they are mahogony otca rails. thanks. mike

You shouldn't have a problem. The outwales will hold the bend after all those years screwed to the canoe. But put them in a safe place where they won't get broken.
