Enthusiastic about Wooden Canoes
Hello,

Well I bought the OT records USBs at the assembly but now my 1-125k usb is corrupted! Right when I need it! I emailed Anne.

This boat looks like an OTCA and has an amazing home grown sail rig for it, I'll do a post in the sailing section when I have more pictures.

Thanks for the help.

The Old Town canoe with serial number 72952 is a 17 foot long, CS (common sense or middle) grade, Otca model with western red cedar planking, open spruce gunwales, twenty inch birch decks, birch thwarts, birch seats, and a keel. It was built between July, 1922 and March, 1923. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It shipped on March 31st, 1923 to New Haven, Connecticut. A scan of this build record can be found below.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others as you probably know well. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join, or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See https://www.woodencanoe.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/shop to donate or join.

It is possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Let me know if you need your build records sooner than Annie can send you a replacement USB drive. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.

I'm looking forward to those pictures. I primarily use my canoes to sail, and have tried several rigs.

John, I have a few rigged for sail lined up for restoration. Look forward to picking your brain and experience.
