Old Town Sqr. Stern Canoe 160780-18

160780 appears on a 18' CS grade square end canoe with a rowing seat. It had half ribs, keel and outside stems. Color is difficult to read, but you have about a 50% chance that it was dark green. It was shipped to Linclon Me in April of 1955. Scan of the build record is attached.

Scans of approximately 210,000 records were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. Additional information about the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. Please join WCHA or make a tax deductable contribution so that services like this can continue. It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the info, Mike. You are correct on the color. It was Dk. Green and still had the original canvas on it until approx. 3 yrs. ago. At this time it is bare and too heavy for me to handle.
Thanks again,
Lowell
