My guess is that you have the Old Town with serial number 153969. This is a 16 foot long, AA (or top) grade, square stern model with red western cedar planking, open mahogany gunwales, a keel, outside stems, a floor rack, and sponsons. It was built between February and April, 1950. The original exterior paint color was light gray enamel. It shipped on April, 24th, 1950 to Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. The back side of this record shows that it came back for repairs in October 8th, 1952 and was returned on October 23rd, 1952. Scans showing both sides of this build record can be found by following the link at the attached thumbnail images below.
This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at
http://www.wcha.org/ot_records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will join or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match your boat. The information at
http://forums.wcha.org/showthread.php?791 may help you find the serial numbers. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
