Hi Folks,
I'm looking for some leads where I may find Lever Bolts simular to the one shown in the attachment.
I'm restoring a 1938 Old Town sailing canoe and in need of the lever bolts for the lee boards.
Thanks!
There are a number of sources for these. Robert Ross sells them if you are in a hurry as shown at the first link below. I believe they are also available from the Springfield Fan Centerboard Company but it may take longer. The bolts and lever nuts were also used on the Old Town motor brackets as shown in the third link below. I once purchased one and instructed the seller to just send the bolts so I could save on the shipping. Good luck,
Included is most of what you might need to rig a canoe for sail. Finial details are mostly trial and error and or personal preference. Most the hard parts are here. This is a single lee board system.
A search for "Tailnuts" or "Handle Nuts" will pull up several sources, most of which will be steel or iron, but that doesn't really matter much for this use. Even Amazon had some, though their price was crazy. Some other places were much better, like $18 per pair.
did you try "bronze or brass" "handle nuts" , "wing nuts" "lever nuts" "brass dog bolt" "butterfly wing nut" "bicycle axle wing nut" ? and with a saw it's near of the truth
