Old Town Design #1

I'm considering painting my '37 OT 50 Pounder with the design #1. Does anyone have a picture of the pattern? I can't tell from the two files I attached if the patterns are just red and white, or if each piece is also outlined in black. Any advice on how best to paint the pattern? Thanks much!

I have never seen an original example of this design as done by the factory and I'm not aware of any other pictures of this pattern. The catalog thumbnail appears to show many black lines separating each color as shown at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/designs/design01.gif while the 1922 and 1926 catalogs don't show as many black separation lines between the colors in the images below (and the design number changed to 29). My approach to painting this design would be to start with a green base overall, add a white stripe along the rails and stems, and then add the red parts. You could then decide to add the black separation lines by hand if you felt they would improve it. Please let us know what you decide and provide some pictures of the results. Thanks,

My attempt at design #1

I just completed my 1937 OT 50 Pounder. Attached are pictures of my attempt at OT Design #1. I opted to use a thin green dividing line in the bow design but did not include it in the border stripe. Overall, I am happy how it turned out, but would make a narrower border next time...
