Hi Ed--
You're right about it being a 50 pounder--
Old Town 165774 is a CS (common sense, or middle grade) 50 pound model canoe that was completed December 1956--> February 1957. It has a keel and was painted bright green. Wood species used for trim aren't specified on the record. It was shipped to Parkview Marine Supply in Haddonfield, NJ, on April 22, 1957.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
