Looking for information about an Old Town Canoe serial number 190347. I know there's another number stamped on the hull - should I include that for more details?

Welcome, the Old Town canoe with serial number 190347 is a 16 foot long FG (fiberglass) model that weighed 80 pounds. It was built in June, 1972. The original exterior gelcoat colors were avocado and celery. It shipped on July 19th, 1972 to Potsdam, New York. The back side indicates that it had some patches and bubbles. It returned the the factory on May 2nd, 1975 and was shipped to Newton Center, Massachusetts on August 29th, 1975. Scans showing both sides this build record can be found below.

These scans and several hundred thousand more were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. A description of the project to preserve these records is available at http://www.wcha.org/catalogs/old-town/records/ if you want more details. I hope that you will donate, join, or renew your membership to the WCHA so that services like this can continue. See http://www.wcha.org/about to learn more about the WCHA and https://www.woodencanoe.org/pricing-plans/join to donate or join.

It is also possible that you could have another number or manufacturer if this description doesn't match the canoe. Feel free to reply here if you have any other questions.
