Could you help me out with the build information for what I believe to be an Old Town canoe with serial number 125624 16?

The Old Town with serial number 125624 is a 16 foot long HW (heavy water) model with open spruce gunwales, ash decks, ash thwarts, ash seats, and no keel. It was built between August and December, 1938. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped on December 9th, 1938 to Lapeer, Michigan. This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others. wouldn't it be nice to have that one? 'lovely' Lapeer was an advertising gimmick for the local Jeep dealer who lost the franshise a few years back. Maybe I could trade something for it.

the county press was owned by Ben Myers for years, and as I recall, he got alzheimers. He did not enjoy having alzheimers and so after some struggles he wrote one last column, walked out in the woods behind his house and commited suicide. There is a very cool bronze sculpture of him sitting on a park bench reading a newspaper. the sculpture sits in the foyer of the Lapeer County Medical Care Facility, where many elderly alzheimer's patients are cared for. I wonder if this was Ben's father in the build record?
