The Old Town with serial number 134257 is a 12 foot long, AA (or top) grade, Sportboat model with open mahogany gunwales, mahogany decks, mahogany seats, half ribs, and a keel. It was built between December, 1941 and January, 1942. The original exterior paint color was dark green. It was shipped on April 24th, 1942 to New York City. Wooden Canoes are in the Blood
The filler was applied on Monday December 2, 1941. I can only imagine what was going through everyones mind the following Monday - December 8th.
