Old Town Serial # Search

I recently purchased a 12 ft Old Town Wood and Canvas Car Topper Row Boat.
The previous owner said he contacted Old Town and was told that it was a 1953
Could you please help confirm the date and setails of this beautiful craft.
Serial Number is 160086 12 or 180086 12
And it looks like has Mahogany Gunwhales, Deck and Transom

Hi Al,

Old Town 160086 is a 12 foot AA (top) grade sportboat with half ribs and a keel that was finished May-July of 1953. It was originally dark green and was shipped to Oregon City, Oregon, on July 22, 1953. Image of the scan of this record is attached below-- click on it to get a larger image.

This scan and several hundred thousand others were created with substantial grants from the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association (WCHA) and others.
